Edward Douglas' Biography
I was born in 1967 I was in over 30 different school systems before dropping out in my
sophomore year of high school. I received very good grades but it was hard to keep up as my parents moved
frequently. I did receive my GED in 1988. I felt like a gypsy but managed to get by. My Grandparents (Technically
my Great Aunt and Uncle) raised me and I thank God everyday that I knew them. If it was not for them I do not think
I would have done as well as I have. They taught me that hard work would make life a lot easier in the long
run.
My Grandfather always wanted me to work for myself. It has not been easy but I am glad today
I listened to him.
12 years ago I thought I could improve upon auto repair and sales industry by trying to get
customers to change their buying habits. Providing them with an honest auto repair facility and used car
sales lot with a warranty on every car. I think I was doing a pretty good job. Then the State of decided
to close an interstate bridge right beside my business. The bridge was scheduled to be finished in 6-8 months. It
was 11 months before it was finished. What do you think it did to my business? I had enough money and credit to
make to through 2 years with minor problems. Needless to say 11 months of no traffic was no minor problem. My first
three months of business I did over $120.000 in business. "Remember I was only open for 4 months before the
interstate bridge closed." In eleven months while the bridge was closed I did less than $90.000.
Now small as it seems this was my dream. My father-in-law (An Attorney) encouraged me to wait before
moving forward but when you want your own business by the time you are 30, well you don't always think
straight. In hind site he was right. My banker told me that this tough time would make me a better
businessman out of me. I failed to see the relevance in that statement then but now 12 years later, I
understand.
What did I learn? After 7 of my own small businesses, I learned you better have a lot
of money before opening one. 20 years ago it was much easier to open a business and make it grow. Think about it...
The economics were much easier then than they are today. Example: Utilities, percentage wise higher than ever.
Gasoline, $3.50 plus per gallon. Taxes, Higher than ever. Employees, much better then than now. Would you like
for me to keep going? OK... Insurance, yes it can be helpful but it can also kill your business if you have claims
that exceed your insurance companies tolerance levels. "It must be nice to have a business where you can
collect premiums, in some cases you customer must legally use your product and you can drop
your customer when they no longer become profitable." If you or I started a business like that they would
throw us in jail. Bottom line, Don't get suckered in! There is a reason 90% of all small businesses fail and I
just showed them to you.
It may seem as though I am being negative. Honest I'm not, I am so Positive that sometimes it
gets me into trouble. I am saying that these are the facts. Don't overlook them when going into business
for yourself.
2 years ago, I came up with an idea that would improve Business Advertising while lowering
the cost of it at the same time. After researching several business "who loved my idea", I decided to move forward.
Here I go again. But this time I have my experience to come along with me. Not only do I feel more confident than
ever, but I look forward to helping small businesses avoid some of the advertising mistakes I made when I was in
one of those small businesses. I also look forward to helping you capitalize on this new idea.
I have worked at a part time pace where income is concerned. What does this mean? I have had to
take the time to Construct, Research, Grow, Make Changes, Make Business Connections, Search Engine Optimize
and Design Ad 's as I went. I did not have a lot of time to sell my idea and I still made over $70.000 in just 15
months. Selling my idea to businesses in only 4 hours a day. I very rarely get a business that is not
interested in what I have to offer. Now I have over 146 businesses advertising with me and that number is
growing daily. The best thing is, my renewal rate is over 75%. You know what that means, income you can count on
again and again and again!
NOW! I can help you become a successful entrepreneur without laying out hundreds of
thousands of dollars, without having any inventory, without having any employees, without having any overhead.
Does this sound interesting to you? What if I told you, you could start at home and grow outward at any pace
you like? Remember, this is your business! You control how fast you grow. With our help you can
start making money 4 days after you start your business. It just depends on how much time you can
spend learning my system.
My Hero's:
Jesus:
Believe what you want, He may not even look like this but imagine if all of men and women had only
half of his compassion... I like the Beetles but what if John Lennon would have imagined that? I added this Hero
last but put him first as I should always.
My Grandfather: because I still have never met a better person.
Greg Boyington: "WW II Pilot"
because he never let regulations stand in his way.
John Elway: because he never quit.
Bruce Lee: because he was
obsessed with meeting his goals.
Bobby Jones:
because he just wanted to be the best.

Gen. George Patton: because he hated excuses.
If you know who most of my hero's then you must know the kind of person I am. If
not... well let's just say I love a challenge, I won't quit, I love to be in front of a crowd and I will look you
in the eye. I would love to say I am just like the people I mentioned above but that would not be true. But I keep
trying to improve daily.
Tiger Woods in an interview said something the other day I really
believe.
"No matter how good you are, no matter how much you try, you are still going to need
help along the way".
I used to think I could make it alone. The world is tough and so are some of the
people in it. I had a lot of people try to help me when my first business got into trouble because of the
State's road construction. I wish I would have turned them down looking back. I miss a lot of them. My business
never recovered. So some avoided me and some sued me. I am still working today to pay them back today weather
they know it or not.
I was a ASE Certified Auto Technician with 20 years of experience and was very proud
of my job. I was promoted when I worked at Goodyear to Store Manager even though the store owner said he would
never have a Store Manager without a College Education. (Don't under estimate common
sense) My team took a store that averaged 20K per month and make it average 60K per month
within a very short period of time. I learned a lot from the owner of that business. The only owner I
ever worked for that worked harder than me. I really respect him.
I was offered a Managers position from another Goodyear store in 1994. I
accepted the position because I believed I could do the same for that store as I did the other Goodyear Store. This
store was only averaging 30k per month and I thought it should be doing 75K per month. Within in 90 day's that
store was doing 85K per month. I had a GREAT TEAM THERE! I really loved that job. Hated to move on but I was still
working for someone else.
In 1995 I was offered a Managers position at Auto Zone. I thought there is no way
they could afford me. Well they could and I learned that big business really sucks. This was the worst job I ever
had. This is when I made a decision to start working for myself.
In August of 1996 I opened my first real business and I told you that story on the
top of this page.
I closed my business in Dec. of 1999. I had to file bankruptcy and it was the
worst time of my life. I am still paying for that business emotionally and financially.
From 1999 to 2005 I had and tried other businesses without the success I was looking
for. I learned even more in that time period than I had realized.
Then at the end of 2005 out of desperation and tenacity I stumbled over something on
the internet. I liked what it said but did not believe it was for me. What it did do was give me a ideal to start
what I am doing now. I am so thankful I did not quit and came up with this ideal. I promise that you will love it
as much as I do.
Thank You,
Edward Douglas
